U Gawsita: Monk from the Protests

A bit ago we filmed an interview with U Gawsita, a monk who was one of the leaders in the Saffron Revolution. He had escaped to Thailand and then got asylum in the U.S. in January. Only 28 he has a delightful, strong, and peaceful personality. When he spoke it was as if he was saying a prayer.

In this photo, he is the one in the front with the bullhorn

We put together this video with him talking about the Saffron Revolution. When a Burmese friend first finished the translation, I was overwhelmed, one of those times when I remember why I do what I do. Please watch and share. Its 12 minutes and in 2 parts.
